Dr. Ayça Tulga graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry. She completed her residency and doctoral studies at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Prosthodontics. During her postgraduate studies, she was awarded a scholarship to study at the Department of Prosthodontics at the RWTH University in Aachen, Germany for a short period to learn about the latest prosthodontic treatments, surgical approaches required before prosthodontic treatment and implant surgery. She attended dental surgeries and lectures given by world-renowned professors.
After having completed her PhD, she worked briefly in public dental hospitals and worked as a lecturer at Ordu University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Prosthodontics in 2015.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayça Tulga has numerous scientific publications in prominent international and national journals. She has presented lectures and papers at international congresses in various countries on dentistry topics such as aesthetic treatments in dentistry, physical and mechanical properties of materials used in prosthetic treatments in dentistry, dentin sensitivity problems that may occur after prosthetic treatment, and personalized prosthetic approaches in patients who have undergone advanced surgical resection in and around the mouth, such as cancer patients.
Dr. Tulga is an active member of the ITI International Team for Implantology and the Turkish Society of Prosthodontics and Implantology.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayça Tulga has been practicing for about 20 years in all areas of prosthodontics and her special clinical interests include aesthetic treatments of developmental or acquired deformities and chromatic discoloration in adults, composite and porcelain laminates, customized fixed and/or removable dentures in patients with advanced surgical resection, dental treatments under general anesthesia and sedation.
