3D Dental Tomography Examination of the jaw and teeth in fine detail using 3D imaging. When patients first arrive at the clinic, we quickly take 2D dental images, known as panoramic films, to present the treatment plan. However, these are not sufficient to create an accurate treatment plan. A 3D scan must be obtained and examined in detail to properly plan dental implants, detect hidden pathological formations in the jawbone or at root tips, assess the success of previous root canal treatments, and ensure greater success in upcoming root canal procedures.
